40 Farm is Broiler Farm located near Jasper, AL in Walker County. This farm has two 40x500 and two 40x400 houses and sits on 23+/- acres. The farm has been out of production since 2012 and was last in production with Pilgrims. Surprisingly the farm is in really good shape despite the circumstances. Much of the equipment and structures are in good condition. The houses were built with an all steel structure (believed to be the Hired Hand Steel House Kit offered in the early 2000's). From visual inspection, the fans are in good condition, the feed bins and fill systems are in good condition, the generator is there, and all of the feed lines are entact. This farm has the cool cell curtains over the exterior of the cool cell pads and the curtains have been up. The pads look to be brand new. There is a litter shed on the farm that has side sheds as well as a full enclosed shopv. The exact build date on these houses is not know. The houses themselves do not appear to have had many years of production through them. From research on time lapse aerials, it appears there was an older two house farm built on this site in the late 1990s.
