The Fox Haas Award, named after the iconic patriarch of the Mossy Oak brand, recognizes a member of the Mossy Oak Properties network that was nominated by their peers for possessing characteristics such as honor, integrity, and a servant’s heart. “To be named the first recipient of the Fox Haas award was overwhelming and a great honor, and I am humbled to even be considered for this award. It is definitely a team effort.” Bud has been a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina for over 34 years and he is also licensed in South Carolina. Bud graduated in 1977 from North Carolina State University with a BS degree in Forestry and has enjoyed working and playing outdoors his entire life. He has worked as a land manager, procurement forester, forestry consultant, owner of a timber dealership and real estate broker. During this time, he has assembled a network of professional, private and individual contacts that assist him in locating buyers and sellers of timber land, farm land, development land and recreational land. “It is such a great advantage to be a forestry consultant in the recreational land business. I am able to determine the value of the timber and identify other assets that exist on my clients’ land in order to add value to their property”.Bud and his wife, Catherine, live at Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. They have two daughters, Kristin and Elizabeth, two sons-in-law, Jamie and Chris and three grandchildren, Kynleigh, Kamryn and Clara.
