Welcome to your ridge top retreat. Exit the county road and wind your way up over 130 feet alongside some of the most beautiful hills and valleys in this part of Illinois. The destination at the top of the driveway is Heavenly View Cabin. Perched on a serene hilltop and surrounded by timbered acres teeming with wildlife, this stunning lodge offers a rare blend of rustic charm and refined living. Designed to embrace its natural surroundings, the amenities begin with 3 sides of covered porches to include a 7'x20' screen porch for those bug-filled summer evenings. Watch the sun rise and set, enjoy the storms moving across the river valley, or experience the stars from a sky unencumbered by city lights. Entering the lodge, you are greeted with everything you had been picturing on your drive up the hill. On the main level, you are greeted by the large living room, complete with 13-foot vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors. The kitchen is wrapped with cabinets and counter space, allowing plenty of prep room for bigger crowds. The design of the lodge allows for large groups to spread out and still have all the necessities. The main level provides 2 living rooms, a large formal dining room, a bedroom, a laundry room, and a full bath. The upstairs is dedicated solely to the primary suite. The large primary bedroom is complete with a 24'x10' walk-in closet separated for his and hers, a full bath, and a small bedside closet. The windows in this room embrace all that is Heavenly View Cabin. You can literally see across the river valley and into Missouri. If the guests want to continue the fun, they can retreat to the fully finished walkout basement. Currently, the main room is being used as a game room, but it would also make a great movie room or man cave. There are two non-conforming bedrooms and a full bath on this lower level that provide for a massive amount of additional space to entertain and keep guests and family comfortable. The lodge is heated and cooled with an efficient Geothermal system. Attention to detail was given from top to bottom on this lodge. Leaving the lodge and hitting the trails outside, you quickly realize why the owner picked this spot to build his escape. The drastic topography, loaded with hardwood trees from ridge to valley, is a breathtaking sight. There is a well-established 1-acre food plot along the east side of the property. The plot is bordered by approximately 2 acres of early successional habitat that is currently providing some of the absolute best possible escape and fawning cover for deer and feed and brooding cover for turkey and quail. Traversing downslope to the valley, you will find a fantastic old barn that could be the heart of an amazing restoration project or could provide the wood for some creative new projects. This valley would be an excellent area to open up some ground for additional food plots and stand sites. The high bluffs paralleling this bottom naturally encourage the wildlife to feed down into the valley and could make for some excellent deer and turkey hunts. The heavy lifting has all been done on this property. It's time for a new owner to add their vision and dreams to continue the legacy of Heavenly View Cabin.

Its location places the property among several existing businesses and services that generate regular activity in the surrounding area. These neighboring uses provide a clear picture of the commercial setting surrounding the parcel. The lot is currently being leased for parking associated with the nearby hospital, providing an existing use for the property while a buyer considers other future plans. This 2.97 acre +/- property in Pike County offers a compact recreational tract with an existing hunting cabin and basic improvements already in place, located in El Dara. For buyers looking for a small-acreage setup that can serve as a hunting base camp, weekend retreat, or quiet place to spend time outdoors, this property provides an established starting point with manageable acreage and usable infrastructure. The property includes a 12'x24' cabin that was built in 1989. The structure has seen several updates over time, including an awning/porch that was added in 2004, providing covered outdoor space near the cabin for gear, seating, or protection from the weather during the season. All appliances convey with the property. The additional shed to the east of the cabin is used as the shower house and was added to the property in the 1990s. This includes a small water heater. There is no full plumbing system in place, and grey water currently drains out the front of the buildings. Buyers should complete their own due diligence regarding any future plumbing, septic, or utility improvements they may want to make. The property also includes a small storage shed, which can be useful for tools, hunting gear, lawn equipment, or camp supplies. All three buildings had siding treated with water seal and were reroofed in 2015. In the middle of camp, you'll find an already established game hanging frame. The land itself offers a mix of wooded cover and open areas. This tract is tucked into a timbered setting with established trees, edge habitat, and adjoining open ground nearby. The wooded portion gives the property a private, tucked-away feel, while the open grassy areas around the cabin provide usable space for parking, gathering, maintaining equipment, or setting up for weekend use. For hunters, this tract can serve as a base camp or staging location. The timber, nearby field edges, and surrounding habitat create a natural outdoor setting, while the cabin provides a place to organize gear, rest between sits, or stay during hunting season. Although the acreage is limited, the existing improvements help make the property usable without starting from raw land. Buyers interested in hunting use should verify local regulations, access, property boundaries, and any intended use with the appropriate agencies and professionals. The timbered setting provides cover and a natural outdoor feel, while the existing cabin allows a new owner to begin using the property without starting completely from scratch. The cabin and outdoor space also support non-hunting recreational use. The covered porch, shaded yard, storage shed, and surrounding timber create a practical setup for weekend stays, camp-style gatherings, or quiet time outdoors. The tract is small enough to maintain without the upkeep of a large acreage, while still offering a more natural setting than a standard residential lot. This property may be well-suited for someone looking for a small Pike County acreage with a cabin, a place to stay during hunting season, or a simple weekend retreat. The improvements are modest, but they provide utility for recreational use and could be updated or modified by a new owner based on their needs and plans. The acreage size keeps the property approachable, while the cabin and covered area give it more function than raw land alone.
