When you are buying a house to make as your new home there are many different aspects about it that you need to consider. One that is going to be most important is the environment which is not only the neighborhood but the community as well. One of the ways that you can get a good handle on what a community will be like is to see how they celebrate special occasions. A good example would be on how they come together to celebrate Halloween.
Here are a few of the cities across the states that have been recognized for their Halloween celebrations.
Chandler Arizona
Chandler Arizona is in Maricopa County. This particular event is so important to the citizens living here that they go above and beyond to celebrate it. They hold a family event that is called Halloween Spooktacular. Some of the events include pumpkin bowling and broomstick races.
San Bernardino County
If you are into haunted houses then there is no better county than
San Bernardino to provide you with plenty to visit. This is another community that goes the extra mile when it comes to pulling neighborhoods together to enjoy some fun when it comes to special occasions. It also happens to be a great place to live at any time of the year, and is not only a perfect place to raise a family but also for seniors who are ready to settle down and enjoy their
golden years. For those who are looking for a great parcel of land to
build their dream home on this region is definitely a good choice.
Mississippi
Moving to almost any part of Mississippi is going to mean that you will have an opportunity to join in on some really amazing Halloween events. In Jackson they are planning a pumpkin adventure, and in Gulfport they are getting ready for the Halloween Night of Lights. Even the seniors get to enjoy the fun here by attending a Senior's Halloween Bash in Biloxi.
While the Halloween event is only a one day celebration just taking a look at some of the States that have a lot of activities going on it means these states are intent on bringing their communities together so neighbors can get to know each other and friendships can be created.
Making Your Living Area Pay Off
If you happen to be living in one of the many counties that make Halloween a big event then you could even think about making yourself some extra money on the side. There are several different ways that you can do this right from your own home. Here are a few examples....
Custom Made Costumes
If you are a decent seamstress then you just might want to take a few orders for making some Halloween costumes. All you need is to turn that spare room in your house into a workshop for a few weeks. A lot of adults go to costume parties but they want something that is extra special and not just the run of the mill costumes that everyone else will be wearing.
For Empty Nester's
It may be that your own kids have grown and left the nest and you still have that big nice house that they were raised in. Why not host a children's Halloween party for the local children. Your neighbors will appreciate you providing a safe environment for the kids to enjoy the event, and you could sell tickets to attend the party.
These are just two ideas to get you thinking about how you can participate in the Halloween festivities in your neighborhood. If you want to think of it as a business on a larger scale then be sure to read our post
