Happy Hill Angus Ranch

The ranch was used as a cattle ranch for many years the owners bought this ranch 80+ years ago because of the all the natural springs on it they didn't have money to drill a well so the utilized the spring water to irrigate the entire ranch. They tilled over 200 acres and grew their own hay for the winter months. This ranch fed a family of five for over 70 years.

Summer enjoy the cool mornings and warm sunny afternoons they are perfect for hiking, biking and horseback riding on the many trails though out the ranch. you can visit the many lakes streams and rivers in the area for some great nearby fishing swimming and bird watching with hundreds of lakes in the area you could try a different one every week.
Fall is a special time of year the weather is perfect for doing some wine tasting at the local vineyards. If you like to hunt the Okanogan is well known for excellent hunting opportunities. There are many different events and festivals in the surrounding towns to check out.
Winter is a great time to do some cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, down hill sledding or try your luck Ice fishing.

Agriculture

The ranch has sustained up to 150 head of cattle, with 200 acres tilled and planted in alfa.
The owners have used some of the timber growing on the ranch over the years for building structures and fencing on the property.

Property is currently leased to a cattle rancher for grazing purposes there is also a caretaker that lives on site and rents the 5 bed room home from current owners.

History

Okanogan. This town site was first settled in 1888 and was called Alma. In 1905, the towns name was changed to Pogue, in honor of Dr J. I. Pogue, a frontier orchardist. In 1907, the town voted overwhelmingly to change the name to Okanogan. The town was incorporated October 29, 1907.
Incorporated in 1907, the City of Okanogan (an Indian word meaning rendezvous) is adjacent to the Okanogan River innorth-central Washington state, 50 miles south of the Canadian border, 140 miles east of Seattle and 100 miles northwest of Spokane. Okanogan is centrally located in Okanogan County, the largest county in the State of Washington at 5,315 square miles.
