Mature timber, lush meadows, and pristine river frontage create outstanding habitat for elk, deer, and moose, and hunting is excellent both on the ranch and the adjoining Forest Service ground. The Middle Fork offers fishing just outside the door, and Rock Creek itself holds Blue Ribbon Trout Stream status, the only one west of the Continental Divide in Montana.

The centerpiece is a 4,000± square foot hand-hewn log home built for mountain living, with a gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, a main-level primary suite, a river-rock fireplace built from stones gathered along the Middle Fork, and screened-in porches overlooking the water. A guest house built from salvaged early-1900s logs sleeps up to four and shares the same porch-side connection to the river.

Trails lead toward Kaiser Lake and into the Pintler Wilderness, with hundreds of miles of alpine terrain beyond, while Discovery Ski Area, Georgetown Lake, and Moose Lake add skiing, boating, and year-round recreation nearby. Historic Philipsburg is close at hand for dining, groceries, and a local brewery, and Missoula International Airport is about two hours away. Moose Lake Road is plowed through winter, and fiber-optic internet reaches the property, so year-round living and remote work are both easy here.
