Nestled within the Blue Mountains of Oregon, this off-grid mountain sanctuary is surrounded by the vast expanse of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Just over 163 acres of pristine woodlands, this secluded property has a spring-fed pond and several undeveloped natural springs, meadows, and rolling terrain. This wilderness retreat is perfect for ATV adventures, fishing, camping, and hunting.  Property is not buildable. The owner may apply for two Landowner Preference (LOP) tags each year. Access is provided by a private easement and national forest roads.

Recreation

The surrounding Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and Elkhorn Mountains provide endless options for hiking, camping, fishing, and wildlife viewing. In the winter, it is a popular destination for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing enthusiasts.

History

Baker City, the county seat, showcases its past through its historic downtown, lined with charming buildings that date back to the Victorian era.
Sumpter, Oregon, is located to the northwest of Boise, Idaho. The driving distance between Sumpter and Boise is approximately 200 miles. The closest airport to Sumpter, however, is located in Pendleton, Oregon.  The Eastern Oregon Regional Airport is approximately 120 miles to the northwest of Sumpter, Oregon.
