Tug Hill Four-Season Base Camp

Create your own four-season headquarters on this 5.24-acre wooded parcel in West Turin, NY, surrounded by some of Tug Hill's most popular hunting and trail-riding country. The land features rolling terrain covered in northern hardwoods - sugar maple, beech and yellow birch. Plenty of deer sign can be found throughout the property, and the woods provide an attractive backdrop for an off-grid camp or recreational camper site. The property fronts a tear-round road open to both snowmobiles and ATVs. For riders, that's a major advantage-West Turin is surrounded by an interconnected recreational network that draws snowmobilers during Tug Hill's famously snowy winters and ATV riders throughout the riding season. When the snow arrives, you can also head to Snow Ridge Ski Resort, only about 10 minutes away. Two well-known local stops, Highmarket Inn Bar and Restaurant and Whiskey Jack's, are approximately two miles from the property. Outdoor recreation extends well beyond motorized trails. Lesser Wilderness State Forest offers hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, including the Carpenter Road Trail System. Nearby Sand Flats State Forest provides additional hunting and wilderness recreation. Explore Whetstone Gulf State Park for gorge hiking and scenic overlooks, or visit nearby Agers Falls and Lyons Falls for an afternoon along the water. Whether your plans include hunting season, weekend trail rides, winter snowmobiling or simply spending more time in the North Country, this property provides a convenient place to make it happen.
