As you enter the property from Wightman Rd. you will see a former logging trail that meanders up along the edge of the pines to the pinnacle of the hill where it splits and can take you to all corners of the property. The planted scotch pine creates a diverse habitat with a dense understory perfect for small game and big game alike. There was ample deer and turkey sign throughout the property.

The hardwoods surrounding the pine plantation are a mix of northern hardwood species including red oak, white oak, hard maple and soft maple. This open hardwood stand provides excellent vantage points throughout the property. There is mature timber that could be harvested now to generate revenue as soon as the property closes. It was estimated by a forester to be over 50,000 board feet of hardwood sawtimber. If managed sustainably this could provide a steady revenue stream every 10-15 years to help offset property taxes.
