Property Description
Double Ridge Ranch consists of 658 +/- acres offering a combination of hunting, recreation, and grazing opportunities in northwest Colorado. With year-round access, a reliable water source, perimeter fencing, and adjoining BLM lands, the ranch provides a well-rounded recreational and agricultural property just 30 minutes west of Meeker.
Land
The ranch features a varied landscape of broad sagebrush and native grass flats that transition into rolling hills and pinyon-juniper covered ridges. Numerous draws and drainages break up the terrain, creating additional cover and travel corridors for wildlife throughout the property. A solar well provides a reliable water source, while the perimeter fencing and mixture of open grazing country and tree-covered slopes add to the ranch’s agricultural and recreational potential. Bordering BLM lands on multiple sides further expands the surrounding open country and recreational opportunities.
Located in Colorado GMU 11, the ranch and surrounding area support deer and antelope throughout the year, with elk occasionally moving through later in the hunting seasons depending on the year. Over-the-counter elk licenses are available for archery, 2nd rifle, and 3rd rifle seasons, while deer and antelope licenses are available through the draw.
Recreational opportunities throughout the surrounding area are abundant. Lake Avery is approximately an hour from the ranch and provides additional opportunities for fishing and outdoor recreation. Also within approximately an hour is the White River National Forest, offering access to hundreds of thousands of acres of public land with alpine lakes and streams, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, horseback riding, and an extensive network of trails to explore.
