Richford Meadows

Wide-open farm meadows give this Richford property a classic Southern Tier setting and plenty of possibilities for an off-grid recreational camp. Located along a seasonal road in Richford, NY, the property is especially well suited to buyers looking to build a simple off-grid cabin or hunting camp surrounded by rural countryside. The mostly open terrain provides plenty of sunshine for an off-grid solar setup and room to establish a cabin site, food plots or other recreational uses. Richford lies in the heart of an outstanding recreational area, surrounded by thousands of acres of state forest. Robinson Hollow, Michigan Hill, Andersen Hill, Beaver Dam, Turkey Hill and Griggs Gulf State Forests offer additional opportunities for hunting and exploring. The nearby Finger Lakes Trail provides excellent hiking, while the East and West Branches of Owego Creek are popular with local trout anglers. In winter, area trails and public lands provide opportunities for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, making this a great base camp for four-season Southern Tier recreation. Despite its peaceful rural setting, the property is only about 20 minutes from Ithaca and Cayuga Lake, putting shopping, dining, boating, fishing and Finger Lakes recreation within an easy drive.
