The majority of land does not come with any mineral rights which is in lieu of the Alaska Permanent Fund. See Alaska Department of Natural Resources for more information.

The RV pad space is currently occupied on a “long time verbal” handyman trade agreement.

Region & Climate

The Ninilchik area tends to be a bit more on the temperate side during the winter; it is generally warmer and gets less snow than other areas further north on the peninsula. Summer temperatures tend to be a bit cooler with the breezy ocean air more consistent with a coastal climate. Traditionally more rain falls in this area as well.

History

The history of Ninilchik is rooted in Russian and Indigenous Alaskan traditions. Ninilchik is home to one of the few Orthodox Russian churches and the Ninilchik village was the original settlement area at the mouth of the Ninilchik river. Fishing and farming were a big part of the growth of this area. Modern day Ninilchik consists of dining, shopping and charter services and is home to the Ninilchik tribal council organization.
